XENIA Margaret Marie Thrasher, 88, of Xenia, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2013. She was born one of 12 children to Fred and Bertha (Dahlke) Leigeber on February 12, 1925 in Cullman, Alabama.  Margaret was married in Cullman, Alabama on October 30, 1948 to William "Howard" Thrasher. She and Howard moved to Ohio in 1960 where she enjoyed being an Avon representative and worked at various stores including King's Department Store, Dollar Store, and Gold Circle.  Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, her parents, ten brothers and one sister. Margaret was a member of Faith Community United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing cards, gardening, quilting, and collecting both Barbie dolls and elephant figurines.  She is survived by her sister, Willa Mae Huffstutler of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and three married children:  Pamela (Thrasher) Rawlins and her husband Doug of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Gary Thrasher and his wife Denise of Chicago, Illinois and; Tom Thrasher and his wife Nancy (Fisher) of Clinton, Tennessee.  Margaret has five grandchildren: Logan Rawlins, Jessica (Thrasher) Thayer, Melinda (Rawlins) Burns, Aaron Thrasher, and Phillip "P.J." Thrasher; and four great grandchildren: Samantha Burns, Aiden Thayer, Caleb Rawlins, and William Burns V. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Pastor Rick Tettau officiating.  Interment will follow at the Woodland Cemetery, Xenia, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the funeral home.
