Margaret "Peggy" McBrideMargaret "Peggy" Brubaker McBride, 80, of West Lafayette, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus.She was born on June 4, 1934, in Windber, PA, to the late Samuel Bear and Margaret (Hoff) Brubaker. She attended Grove City College and University of Pittsburgh and graduated from Youngstown State University.Surviving are four children, Kristen Patton (husband: Andrew) of West Lafayette, Amy McVay (husband: Todd) of Oakdale, PA, Jeffrey Griffith (wife: Lori) of Dayton, OH, and Scott Griffith (wife: Patti) of Winter Springs, FL. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren.Peggy loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed nursing, traveling, gardening, and antique-collecting. She loved her country and had great respect and appreciation for those who serve(d) in the military.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 3:30 p.m. at Covenant Church in West Lafayette.
