Margaret Mildred Hardin, 85, of Bardstown, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 30, 1928, in Nelson County and was a homemaker.She is preceded in death by her husband, Hobart F. Hardin Sr.; a son, Joseph R. Hardin; her parents, John Carl and Amanda Alice Mattingly Linton, and two sisters, Bertha Person and Thelma Woods.She is survived by eight sons, Tom Hardin, of Dauphin Island, Ala., Kenny Hardin, of Shepherdsville, Hobart Hardin Jr., of New Haven, Billy Hardin, Guy Hardin, John Hardin, all of Bardstown, Daryl Hardin, of Boston, Robbie Hardin, of Bardstown; eight daughters, Carol Rogers and Alberta Ashby, both of Cox's Creek, Helen Hill, of Shepherdsville, Faye Clayton, of Fairfield, Carla Johnson, of Bardstown, Wanda Jury and Crystal Weber, both of Cox's Creek, and Phyllis Hardin, of Belmont; 29 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The funeral was noon Monday, Jan. 6, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Dustin Weber and Eric Hardin will officiate.Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
