Margie Pesicka, age 80, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, in Rapid City, South Dakota. Born on July 26, 1945, in Faith, South Dakota, Margie lived a life filled with love, devotion, and unwavering strength.

Margie dedicated 35 years of her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Sturgis Regional Hospital. Her commitment to caring for others was a testament to her compassionate nature and tireless work ethic. After retiring, she shared her golden years with her late husband, Donny Pesicka, cherishing the time they spent together.

A devoted Christian, Margie’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She always wore a cross around her neck as a symbol of her beliefs and began every meal with prayer. Her spirituality guided her actions and inspired those around her.

Margie’s family was the heart of her world. She is survived by her children Lori, Jami, Barry, Bradley, and Brian; grandsons Taylor, Brandon, Trevor, Tanner, Braxton, and Brantley; and granddaughters Lanessa, Addison, Camryn, Madison, Laura, Kennly, and Peyton. She found immense joy in spending time with them and took pride in their accomplishments.

Known for her handy work and creativity, Margie had a passion for quilting and sewing. Her cooking brought people together around the table while her walks provided moments of reflection and peace. Margie had an incredible gift for humor—she loved cracking jokes and making others laugh. Her positivity was infectious; she uplifted those around her during their darkest times with words of wisdom and encouragement.

Margie embodied courage, compassion, generosity, and an indomitable will to persevere. She carried herself with pride and grace while offering unwavering support to those who needed it most. In her final days, she was surrounded by friends and family in an atmosphere filled with love and laughter—a true reflection of the life she led.
