Margie A. Troyan Raleigh Margie A. Troyan, 88, of Raleigh, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at WakeMed Hospital. A native of Seneca County, OH, she was born on February 28, 1928 to the late Clarence and Maria Buchman Welter. In addition to her parents, her husband of 57 years Clarence Troyan preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were brother James Welter and her sisters Mary Skopek, Alice Sanders, Carolyn Welter, Marilyn Welter, and Janet Watkins. Mrs. Troyan met her husband while attending Heidelberg College in Ohio. After marrying and raising six children they settled in Raleigh, NC in 1990. She was a member of Saint Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church where she enjoyed her activities with the Saint Raphael Senior Group. Surviving are her siblings Martha Laughlin, Clarence Joseph Welter, Donald Welter, Eugenia Sanders, Thomas Welter, Geraldine Sparks, Janet Watkins, and Rosemary Sanders. Also surviving are her daughter Patricia A. Good and husband Dale of Gilbert, AZ; son Lawrence J. Troyan and wife Lori of Gahana, OH; daughter Barbara S. Froelich and husband David of Raleigh, NC; son Ronald F. Troyan and wife Karen of Venice, FL; daughter Tracy A. Clarke and husband Bill of Lafayette, IN; and daughter Tamara L. Downey and husband Mark of Gilbert, AZ. Surviving grandchildren are: Randall Good and Melanie Good Petrucci; Cassandra and Cody Troyan, and Tori Troyan Conley; Erin Froelich Brunmeier and Bradley Froelich; Paige and Chad Troyan; Megan, Sarah, Nicholas, and Kyle Downey. Surviving great grandchildren are Logan, Amelia, Rome, and August Petrucci. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Saint Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh. The Reverend BLANK BLANK will officiate. Inturnment will follow in the church columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Raphael Catholic School, 5815 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation for all the staff at Carillon Assisted Living as well as the staff of Transitions LifeCare, whose kindness and care were meritorious.
