Margie Stotts, 99, passed away on Oct. 11, 2016, at home in Wasilla, Alaska.Margie was born on March 23, 1917, on a farm in Iowa. She attended high school in Oskaloosa, Iowa, while living with her grandmother. On Jan. 21, 1939, Marge married John Stotts, and they lived in Rose Hill, Iowa. Her and her family continued to move from town to town, they decided to move to Southern California in 1953. Marge loved to go to Disneyland, seeing plays and concerts and to many things to mention. While in California, she worked at Firestone Tire Company as a secretary and then Hughes Aircraft Company, from which she retired from in 1982, from 23 years of service. She served on the Board of Hughes Aircraft Employees Assoc. for many years; she volunteered her services at many functions they held. In 2001, she decided to move to Wasilla, Alaska, and live with her daughter, Jan.She was a proud member of the Lutheran Church, Women at church and Synodical level, and active member of the Presbyterian Women Church. She served as a Sunday school teach, choir member and served terms on Local Church Council.She is survived by her daughter, Jan Stotts of Wasilla; son, Mike Stotts (Lorraine) of Spokane, Wash.; and sister, Mary Mangerson of Murrieta, Calif.Her Memorial Service will be held on Oct. 22, 2016, at 2 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Wasilla.
