Marguerite S. 'Peggy' Falvo, 70, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by the love and peace of her adoring family. Peggy was born on May 2, 1946, a daughter of the late Herman and Mary Penna Carach. She graduated from Linton High School, class of 1964 and Mildred Elley School of Business. Peggy was the owner and operator of Falvo Florist on Jay Street for many years. She later became involved in all aspects of real estate, and began her career with Gallet Real Estate. Peggy loved to travel and vacation with her husband and family, spending precious time on the New Jersey Shore and in Florida. She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church. Peggy was a wonderful cook, cherishing the many meals shared with her family and friends. She spent her life devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and her Lord. Peggy is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony N. Falvo, whom she married on April 23, 1966; loving daughters, Davia (John) Falvo-Mitchell and Mia (Eric Zywot) Falvo; grandchildren, Anthony Ruscio, Sophia and Sarah Mitchell; step grandchildren, Mary and Margaret Mitchell; a brother David (Shirley) Carach; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Stefanie Valentino; Steve and Joanie Falvo and Frank Falvo. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville. Relatives and friends are invited to call at St. Anthony's Church on Saturday from 8 a.m. until Peggy's Mass.
