Maria Gonzalez, also known as "Mama Maria," passed away peacefully on November 17, 2023, in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois. She was born on August 14, 1954, and lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by love and laughter.

Maria devoted much of her time to helping others and was an active member of the Centro Cristiano Midway organization and New Life Little Village organization. She found great joy in attending church every Sunday and spending time with her community.

She was a loving grandmother to Adriana Gonzalez, Malayah Skye Gonzalez, Joel Gonzalez Jr, and Axel Sanchez who meant the world to her. Maria adored her four grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.

Those who knew Maria will remember her infectious smile, her kind heart, and her unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
