Maria Jean SeaniorApril 21, 1952 - Jan. 13, 2017TulareBarbara Jean Seanior passed away on January 13, 2017, in Visalia, California at the age of 64. Barbara was born on April 21, 1952, in Tulare, California, to Joseph and Cecelia Sigala. She attended grade school at St. Aloysius School, graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1970 and from College of the Sequoias with a degree in Liberal Studies.Barbara worked for 33 years as a child care provider for the Tulare County Head Start Program, where she touched countless young lives and developed life-long friendships. When she retired, she was serving as Site Director at the Blackstone Center where she spent her entire career. She was passionate about her work and loved every one of her students. She loved animals, especially cats. She adopted many over the years and loved providing a home for them, especially the ones who were injured or required special care. Barbara lived a simple life, focusing on what was important to her: faith, family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Cecelia Sigala. She is survived by her daughter, Christina Reynoso and her husband Rick of Exeter, grandchildren, Erika, Caleb, and Tyce, great-grandson, Dax, brother, Joe Sigala and his wife Laurie of Escondido, sister, Jackie Holguin and her husband Ruben, of Visalia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her nephew Rene Holguin and his wife Denise were a special blessing to Barbara and gave selflessly to assist in her caregiving. Barbara's passing left a void in the lives of those who love her and she will be greatly missed.A rosary will be said on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel, 132 W. Kern Ave., Tulare. Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 954 South O Street, Tulare.
