Maria Ross, age 66, of Dolton, Illinois, passed away on September 16, 2024. She was born on March 21, 1958, to William and Frances Baker.
Maria was a beloved wife to Lawrence W Ross, whom she married in the year 1960. Together, they raised four children: Chris Ross (spouse Shannle), Lisa Ross (spouse Cleveland Ross), Carlyon Ross (spouse Tony Mitchell), and Lawrence Ross III (spouse Chrisun Ross). Maria was also a cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren.
She attended Harper High School and graduated in 1975. Maria continued her studies at Harvard University, where she excelled academically.
Throughout her career, Maria worked as a cashier and volunteered at a hospital organization, where she was known for her compassion and dedication to helping others.
Maria was known for her kindness, warmth, and selflessness. She was a pillar of strength for her family and friends, always putting their needs above her own. Her nurturing nature and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was awarded the title of "Best Grandmother" by her grandchildren, a testament to the love and care she showed them throughout their lives.
