Marian Hoyt Nelson Marian Hoyt Nelson, 88, of Ontario passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016. She was born on March 20, 1928 in Los Angeles and lived her whole life in Upland and Ontario. She graduated from Chaffey High School in 1946 and also attended Chaffey College. She is survived by her husband Wayne and 4 children Frank (Connie), Jerry, Rick (Jean), and Peggy. She is also survived by grandsons, Stephen and Craig, granddaughters, Sharon and Elizabeth, 6 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Marian and Wayne were married for 68 years. Marian's father, Sherman, opened S. M. Hoyt Lumber Company 90 years ago and is still run by the family, Hoyts Ace Hardware in Rancho Cucamonga. During her lifetime, Marian was a PTA President, Cub Scout leader, member of Jobs Daughters, Eastern Star, PEO, and a Sunday School Teacher at the First United Methodist Church in Ontario. Marian loved her animals and especially loved her service dog Heather. A Memorial Service will be held at Draper Mortuary in Ontario on Monday, December 12th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Canine Companion for Independence, P.O.
