Not one to officially retire, she continued taking care of people by taking blood pressures at the Lynden Senior Center, dog and house sitting for friends and many other activities to keep her busy. She loved having the view of Mt. Baker reminding her of when she first moved to North America. In June of 2012 Marian moved back to Alaska to be closer to family.
