Marianna Ruth (nee Fullerton) Trautyof Indianapolis, is lovingly remembered by her daughters on the first anniversary of her passing. Marianna died on April 23, 2016. She was 72. She was born on November 23, 1943, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Mariah Elizabeth and William Oliver Fullerton.Both of Marianna's sisters, Carol Watson and Elizabeth (Betsy) Broom, are still residents of Huntington. She met her husband of 52 years, Paul Joseph (Joe) Trauty, in Huntington, WV, and they were married on July 23, 1960. Together, they had four daughters: Kathleen Elaine, Joanna Sue, Paula Ruth, and Bonnie Marie. Marianna was a proud grandmother of five - Edward Joseph, Lindsey Megan, Andrew Scott, Nigel James, and Sarah Elizabeth. She was also a great grandmother of two - Charlotte and Joseph.Marianna was a letter carrier for the USPS for over 25 years. Marianna was an avid and voracious reader and passed the love of reading on to her daughters. The travel bug infected Joe and Marianna and they traveled with the family to the 48 lower continental United States and extensively across Canada. Marianna especially loved the Great Lakes region and Canada. The family has precious and unique memories of camping across the nation including tent poles tied to the front bumper of the family's Volkswagen Beetle and Chevrolet pick-up truck. Marianna loved to explore ghost towns around the United States and enjoyed researching them and adding a visit to the family vacation itineraries. Marianna spent countless hours together with Joe at the side of railroad tracks in pursuit of his hobby. Her daughters remember many evenings with Marianna talking and watching TV as she crocheted afghans. She also spent countless hours on her own and with family completing puzzles of all kinds. Nothing made Marianna happier than to have her family around her. Marianna loved all animals, especially her dogs, Max, Baron, and James.Marianna was preceded in death by her husband, Joe. She is survived by her daughters, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, her sisters, and her sons-in-law.Marianna is missed each day as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend.
