We are sad to announce the passing of Marie Foster, who left us on February 15, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. She was born on April 18, 1940, to her loving parents, Henry Haynes and Mary Annette Rivers Haynes.

Marie was married to Andre Foster Sr. in the year 20 and together they had two children, Denise Foster Jones and Andre Foster Jr. She was also a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, Andre, Latrice, Kaya, Christina, Joseph, Seph, Jeffrey and Antwan. 12 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Marie graduated from Calumet High School in 1955 and went on to work at Little Tots Daycare until her retirement in 1998. She was a dedicated member of the St. Sabina church organization and found joy in helping others.

In her free time, Marie enjoyed sewing, reading, attending church, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her kind heart and infectious smile.

Marie battled Alzheimer's in her later years, but she faced it with courage and grace. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
