Marie Zepeda, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 72, in her hometown of Sparta, Illinois. Born on October 19, 1951, Marie came into this world with a bang and lived a life filled with laughter, adventure, and love.

Marie was known for her infectious smile and her ability to make anyone feel at home. She was always up for trying new things and she never backed down from a challenge. Her family and friends were her world, and she dedicated her life to making sure they were happy and well-fed.

Marie was an avid gardener and had the greenest thumb in all of Sparta. She could grow anything from tomatoes to tulips, and her yard was the envy of the neighborhood. She also loved to cook and bake, and her famous apple pie was a hit at every family gathering.

Marie is survived by her husband Jesse Zepeda Sr., her four children, Jesse Jr., Raymond, Euguene, Rebecca and five grandchildren, who adored their "Nana" more than anything in the world. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her sense of humor, and her zest for life.

Marie will be missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace, Marie. We love you.
