(Sipe) Heagy, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Manor Care Health Services, Kingston Court. She was 93. She was the wife of the late Burton F. Heagy.Marie was born on November 3, 1923 in York and was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Stoneseifer) Sipe.She was a private duty nurse but her favorite activities were gardening, cooking and baking. She was a member of the Fourth United Methodist Church where she taught a Senior Girls Sunday School class. She often chaperoned the Youth Choir and Youth Fellowship on trips. She thoroughly enjoyed teaching Good News Clubs with the Child Evangelism Fellowship Ministry.The greatest thing she taught her children was "always put Christ first in their lives".She is survived by daughter, Kathy R. Clapsaddle (Dick) of Mt. Wolf; and son, Ronald E. Heagy of York. She was the grandmother of Kenny, Josh, Michele, Jason and Erik; and she was the great-grandmother of Ivy, Gavin, Lila and Sawyer. She was preceded in death by son, Burton Richard Heagy; and four siblings, Marian Henry, Mazie Ehrhart, Velma Sipe and Harry Sipe.The family would like to thank the Heritage Unit nurses, staff and Administrator (Roxie) for the excellent four years of heartfelt care and compassion shown to our mother.Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
