Mayes, Age 87, passed away September 7, 2017 surrounded by her family.  She was born on May 11, 1930, in Carson City, Michigan to Vernon Walter Mayes and Ruth Earnestine Darby. Marie enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and singing hymns. She was a lover of dogs and would enjoy riding her bike.  Marie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.Her Family… Marie leaves behind her brother, Dell Mayes, and her sister, Jean Mayes. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Kimberly Mayes, Jenny McKillop, Bill Mayes, and Scott Mayes, as well as many other loving family members.Her Farewell…  Marie's family and friends will gather in Lansing, Michigan for a memorial service at a later date.
