Marie, WhiteMarie K. White, age 94, Appleton, formerly of New London passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 22, 1923, in the Town of Royalton daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Doney) Jones. On September 23, 1943, she was united in marriage Ray White; he preceded her in death on July 28, 2012. They celebrated 68 years of marriage. For 13 years Marie worked at the New London Junior High and Senior High Schools in the lunch program, the last 3 years she was the head breakfast cook; retiring in 1978. Marie and Ray spent their winters in Arizona for many years. She enjoyed watching the birds, being outdoors, and especially spending time with her family.Marie is survived by daughters, Cathi Kniola, North Carolina; Mary (Mark) Meyer, New London; sons: David (Mary) White, Stephenville; Mike White, New London; and Pat (Jayne) White, New London; grandchildren: Brian (Heather) Kniola, Kyle (Jayme) Meyer, Cody (Kelly) Meyer, Chris (Jennifer) White, Tina White, Jamie White, Holly Gehne, Shawn White, Jacob White, Alexander Johnston, Lindsay (Dale) Wegner, step-grandson, Billy Bree and fifteen great grandchildren; and a special sister in-law, Teresa White. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray, a son James White, a brother John Jones, and two grandsons, Paul Schneiderwendt and Erich White. A Memorial Service for Marie will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Cline Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at ThedaCare especially Jason for the compassion he showed our mother, the staff at Caroline Assisted Living, Appleton and also a special thank you to Cindy with hospice for being there so quickly.Mom your bright smile will always shine within us and all those you have touched.
