Marilyn A. Bratz, age 89, of Reedsville, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 surrounded by her family.Marilyn was born on October 15, 1927 in the town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Edwin and Olive (Reichart) Drake. On September 18, 1954, she married John A. Bratz at St. Peter Ev. & Reformed Church in Kiel. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2003. Marilyn enjoyed her life on the family farm, cooking, picking flowers and berries, ranger rides, sitting by the pond, and cuddling with the cats. She also loves spending time with her family. Marilyn is a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. She is survived by her one daughter and son-in-law: Dori and Joe Kilgas of Reedsville; one son Allen Bratz; one grandson: Joe (Deb) Kilgas; great-granddaughter: Maeva Rose, all of Appleton; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Margene (Ed) Hoefler of Kiel and August (Esther) Bratz of Appleton; and three sisters-in-law: Germaine Bratz of Brillion, Lydia Kolberg of Kiel, and Virginia Maas of Brillion; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother-in-law: Emily (Leonard) Rusch. Other in-laws: Leona (Adolph) Burich, Hildegard (Gilford) Schultz, Herbert Maas, Helen (Harold) Bratz, and Lucille (John) Wagner.Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 10, 2017 at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. Rev. Darin Aden will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, town of Rockland. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Calumet County Hospice, the caregivers from Almost Family in Chilton, Rev.
