It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Gray, who left this world on September 1, 2024, in Hoover, Alabama, United States. She was born in Bedford, IN, on December 10, 1935, to her loving parents Orien and Esther. Marilyn spent most of her life in and around the Indianapolis, IN area.

Married to her beloved husband Harold, who precedes her in death, for 59 years, Marilyn leaves behind their son Curt, his wife Jerri, and Marilyn’s dear sister Rita Frazer. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and great-aunt, always showing her family how much she loved them.

After graduating from Decatur Central High School, Marilyn went on to further her education at Anderson College. She had a passion for teaching and spent many years as an elementary school teacher, shaping the minds of countless children.

Marilyn will be remembered for her generosity, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Marilyn, and her sister Rita, were always my idols when I was growing up. They were always so beautiful inside and out - and I wanted to be just like them! We lost touch over the years, but she was a loving and caring person!
