It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Kay Hopper-Jennings, who was born on May 18, 1958, in Kennett, Missouri, United States. Marilyn peacefully departed from this world on June 14, 2024, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, her home for 48 years, peacefully surrounded by her family.
Marilyn was the beloved daughter of the late Shirley Kay Hopper of Kennett, Missouri and was the wife of the late Robert Dale Jennings of Yazoo City, Mississippi. She was a loving partner to Robert Dale Jennings for 34 years, who also preceded her in death. Marilyn did not have any children of her own, but she was a cherished aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Marilyn was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the VFW in Kennett, Missouri, family and friends are welcome.
Burial to be held in Yazoo City, Mississippi, at Cypress Gardens Cemetery, family and friends are welcome.
