Marilyn Miller Head Culver "Toodles", 78, of Bardstown, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015. at Norton Healthcare Pavillion in Louisville. She was born on June 27, 1936. She was the daughter of Mary Alice Miller and Dee Head of Gethsemani. Marilyn received her nursing degree from the Danville School of Nursing. She is a Kentucky Colonel and a member of St. Thomas Parish.She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Richard "Dickie" Culver; a son, Stephen Richard Culver; a son-in-law, Anthony Wynn Dugan; her parents, Dee and Mary Alice Miller Head; and two sisters, Ann Stanley, and Charlotte "Bow" Rogers.Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Culver Dugan, of Bardstown; a son, Larry Wayne Culver, of New Haven; a sister, Vienna Bradley (Donald), of Bardstown, and brother, Mr. William Head (Rose) of Louisville, 2 grandsons, Garrett Dugan and Grant Dugan, both of Bardstown; two granddaughters, Kellie Culver and Olivia Culver Smith (Brandon), both of Georgia, and five great-grandchildren, Layken Do Dugan, Ava, Everrett, Easton and Anderson Smith.A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at St. Thomas Catholic Church. The Rev. Ben Brown will be the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the in her honor. Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
