Marilyn MorganMarilyn Ann Morgan of Crofton, MD, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD, at the age of 70. Marilyn was born on December 31, 1946 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Ziranell "Lady" (Jarred) Moreau and the late Ray A. Moreau. Marilyn was graduated from high school in Ft.
Smith, Arkansas and received Music and Music Education degrees from Cameron State College, Lawton, Oklahoma and Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, Louisiana. She held several teaching positions and served in church secretary, music director, and administrative positions as she moved around the world as a military wife. Her priorities in life were her religion, family, and classical music. She was the family's guide to a happy, moral, and caring life and the very best mom, gram-gram, baby whisperer, tea-party and princess player, supporter, counselor, hugger, pianist, vocalist, and amateur gourmet cook.In addition to her mother, Lady Moreau, Marilyn is survived by her husband of 48 years, Edwin Morgan; four children, Mary Beth Brown, Stephen Morgan, Kathleen Bellamy and John Morgan; eight grandchildren, Ian, Catherine, Benjamin, William, Margaret, Charlotte, Maxwell and Penelope; five brothers, Eddie Ray, David, Michael, Mark and Gregory Moreau and her sister, Jane Oxenhandler. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray A. Moreau and brother, Victor Clyde Moreau. The family will receive friends at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue, South, Millersville, MD 21108 and a committal service will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
