With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn Zenora Bailey on January 27, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States.

Marilyn was born on December 23, 1961, to her loving parents Willie and Louise. Both parents are both deceased. She leaves behind her beloved daughter Stephanie Davis, as well as two cherished grandchildren, living, Ze’Keiara Clark and Joshua White Jr, proceeded in death by her granddaughter Zaria Davis. She also leaves behind two brothers, Charles Barber, David, H Bailey. One sister Barbara Elaine Bailey. She also leaves behind a Nephew,,Marcus Harris , who she helped raised and care for many years and he referred to her as his mom.

Marilyn had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Marilyn attended Memphis Technical High School and graduated in 1980. She went on to have a successful career, working at the Memphis City School System as a cafeteria employee, custodial worker, and later at the University of Tennessee Dental School as a custodial worker, before retiring in 2015.

In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed playing the card game spades and dominos. She brought joy and laughter to those around her with her competitive spirit and love of games.

On January 27, 2025, Marilyn passed away from a sudden heart attack. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
