Vollbrecht, 91, died, October 13, 2017 at Sharon S Richardson Community Hospice.Marion was born on June 22, 1926 in Sheboygan, WI to the late Norman R. and Irma (nee Jackson) Nohl Sr.She graduated in 1944 from North High School. On June 28, 1947 she was united in marriage to Robert A. Vollbrecht at the First Presbyterian Church in Sheboygan, WI. Robert died on October 13, 1998.Marion's life reflected her faith in God, love of family and friends, and children.As a young mother, she was a brownie leader and den mother and active in the P.T.A. where she served as president of the James Madison School. She taught Sunday school, youth club and sang in the choir for many years at her church. Later she served as an elder and moderator of the board of deacons.In 1972, Marion received an Associate Degree in Education with the last class at the Sheboygan County Teachers College. In 1974 she received a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education from Lakeland College and taught primary classes at Jackson and James Madison Schools. She did graduate work at several universities.After retiring, Marion was active in the Sheboygan County Area Retired Teachers Association and served as president. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Retired Educators' Association as the Community Services Committee Chairman. She enjoyed her family, reading, knitting and gardening.She is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Tom) Uraynar of Elkhart Lake and Jennifer (Ed) Aschenbach of Howards Grove; a son, Robert A. (Jean) Vollbrecht, Jr. of Elkhart Lake; 8 grandchildren, Tom (Jane) Uraynar Jr. and Amy (Alan) Clarke, Kelly Aschenbach, Michael (Nicole) Aschenbach, and Parker and Morgan Vollbrecht, Elizabeth and Alec Struve; great-grandchildren Emily and Samuel Uraynar, Alexia Samsal, Dakota Aschenbach, Tristan Stauff, Brayden Aschenbach, Brooklyn Voskuil; three brothers, David Lamar Nohl of Sheboygan, William (Janet) Nohl of Two Rivers and Robert (Cynthia) Nohl of Texas; sister-in-law Dorothy Nohl. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Norman Nohl Jr. and Joseph (Jack) Nohl and brothers-in-law John Vander Wheele, and Edgar Vollbrecht and sisters-in-law Frieda Nohl, Mildred Nohl, Vivian Vander Wheele and Opal Vollbrecht.Private family committal will take place prior to visitation and service. A memorial service for Marion will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 1429 N. 5th St., Sheboygan. Family and friends may gather at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of service 12:00 p.m. Marion's favorite Bible verse was John 3:16 "For God so loved the world the He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not parish but have eternal life"In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Marion's name for First Presbyterian Church.The family would like to thank Sharon S Richardson Community Hospice for their excellent and loving care of our mother during her last days.
