JeffersonvilleTate, Marion Lee,A Celebration of Life for Marion Lee Tate, 90, of Jeffersonville, IN, will be held at 7 PM, on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday from 3-7 PM. He passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Louisville, KY. Marion was born on August 7, 1926 in Gravel Switch, KY to the late Ermine and Mary Tate. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and was a retired manager for Brown Forman Company in Louisville. Marion enjoyed golfing, playing cards, traveling and was an avid Purdue University fan. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Charlie, Donald, Dot, and Deanna.Marion is survived by his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Peggy Tate; children, Linda Tate; Gary Tate and his wife Bobbie; Paul Tate; Barbara Boehmler and her husband Ron; Phillip Tate and his wife Tina; Deanna Pendley and her husband Buddy; a brother, Bob Tate; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
