A beautiful life came to a close on Monday, April 1, 2019 at her home in Tunica, Ms. The woman we knew as Marion Lewis was giving, compassionate, supportive. Marion was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and most of all a friend. God saw that her load was getting heavy and the hills were getting too hard to climb, he whispered "Peace be thine".

Marion was born on April 24, 1950 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to the late Elijah Pittman and Gladys Roby. She accepted Christ as her Savior at a very young age and was baptized at Greater First Apostolic COGIC in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

Marion was the oldest of her siblings. She graduated from Higgins High School in 1968. Eight years later she married James Roger Lewis and they lived together in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Marion worked for the City Of Clarksdale until she retired in 1999. She was the neighborhood candy lady for many years and will forever live in all of our memories as, "Ms. Mary".

Marion is preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Roby and Elijah Pittman; her husband, James Roger Lewis; and her son Lamar D. Lewis. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Odell Wisdom and Lashonda Strickland (Santonio) both of Clarksdale, Mississippi; nine grandchildren; Shanika, Michael, Eric, Lamarcus, Denelinus, Tyrese, Deshawn, Keshawn, and LaPromise; One great-granddaugther, Jalayah; One brother, Wayne Pittman of Clarksdale, Mississippi; three sisters, Linda Polk (Jerry), Patricia Hicks (Ronald) of Memphis, Tennessee, and Annie Isable (Lenwood) of Walls, Mississippi; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
