SAN DIEGO, CA. - Marjorie Ann Bialk was born to eternal life on September 2, 2016. The Lord called this special Angel home to be with her Father, Mother and Brother, Tom. She was born on July 9, 1940, in Racine, to Joseph and Marcella (nee: Mangold) Kurhajec. Marjorie graduated from St. Catherine's High School and earned her education degree from Marquette University. She spent most of her adult life in San Diego, California where she raised five children. Marjorie dedicated her life to Jesus Christ each and every day. She loved her family with all her heart, and as a teacher, forever touched the lives of children with special needs. She also ministered to prison inmates. Marjorie belonged to St. Therese Parish in San Diego for many years, where she remained active in the church. She enjoyed traveling, golf, playing cards and was especially proud of her Slovak heritage. Survivors include children, Molly Bialk of Chico, CA., Dan Bialk of San Diego, CA., Joe Bialk (Deborah) Bialk of Berkeley, CA., Dimitri (Mathilda) Bialk of San Diego, CA., Andy (Halle) Bialk of Los Angeles, CA.; grandchildren, Rose and Lena Bialk, Kyle and Marlo Bialk and Roman Bialk; brothers, Kenneth (Vicki) Kurt of Yorkville, WI., Joseph (Bernadette) Kurhajec of Paris, France; Also survived by aunts, an uncle, cousins and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 16th 11:00 AM at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Union Grove with Rev. Russell Arnett officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at 10:30 AM. Memorials have been suggested to St. Catherine's High School Alumni Association. Burial will take place at Old Holy Cross Cemetery in Racine. To quote Saint Teresa of Calcutta, who was Margie's guiding light, "Let his light of truth be in your life so that God can continue loving the world through you and me. Put your heart into being a bright light."
