Marjorie Cecelia ClemetsenEast LansingAge 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in East Lansing, Michigan. She was born on April 1, 1926 to Carl and Laura (Schaner) Hipley in Hart, Michigan. She married Gerald H. Clemetsen and together they raised three children. She will be lovingly remembered by them: Kim (Eric) Brown, Eric (Helen) Clemetsen, and Kurt (Midge) Clemetsen; her grandchildren, Chris, Casey and Sean Brown, Jared Clemetsen, and Abbie Woolston; her great-grandchildren, Alivia, Connor and Ella; her brother Marvin (Cleta) Hipley and her many close friends. Marjorie worked as a printer for Roses Inc. beginning in 1962 and she retired in 2000 at the age of 74. Marjorie gave generously of her spare time. She volunteered at Sparrow Hospital for over 45 years and for the Red Cross. In between her work and volunteering efforts, she found the time to travel with friends on bus trips and she cherished her memories of camping with her dear friend Betty Martin. She was also a devout Spartan fan for over 70 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Clemetsen, in 1982, her parents, sister, Geraldine Christman, and brother, LaVern Hipley.A Memorial Mass will take place 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing, Michigan on June 10, 2017.
