Creighton, Marjorie ClaireDec. 3,1924 - Jan. 25, 2017Marjorie Claire Creighton (nee Longenecker), 92, ended her earthbound journey on January 25, 2017. She was born on December 3, 1924 in Keokuk, IA, and grew up in Warsaw, IL. She became an RN, graduating from the California Hospital School of Nursing in 1946, and becoming a Visiting Nurse in Omaha, NE in 1948. After having six children, she went back to school to become one of the first ARNP's in the State of Florida in 1978. She went on to specialize as an OB/GYN ARNP in 1982. She moved to Heron House ALF in Largo, FL in 2009, after being a long time resident of Sarasota. She enjoyed greeting folks, playing bingo, and not having to worry about taking care of anything. "The Princess" loved a good joke, and occasionally giving folks a zing. She was the mother of Jim Creighton, Robert V. Creighton (deceased), Chris (Karen) Creighton, Norene (Ken) Marlow, Jeff (Annie) Creighton, and Tesa (Pat) Devine. She had ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Marjorie will be greatly missed, but will always be treasured. A celebration of life will be held at a date yet to be determined.
