McCASKILL, Marjorie FrancesOf Vulcan, beloved wife of Bob McCaskill, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on February 5, 2017 at the age of 91 years. Marjorie was born on January 1, 1926 in the first Vulcan hospital. The only daughter of Clifford and Marie Love, she completed nursing training at the Calgary General Hospital in 1949 and went on to have a successful nursing career, helping war veterans at the Colonel Belcher Hospital in Calgary. She was married to Robert Douglas McCaskill of Calgary on November 6, 1949 in Vulcan and while most of her married life was spent in Calgary and surrounding area, she returned to Vulcan in retirement in 1996. Marjorie is survived by her husband Robert, her three children, Deborah, Jim, and Douglas, eight grandchildren, one great- grandchild, and her brother Frank. While closest to her family, she had a willingness to give freely of her time and through her life supported many community interests. There will be no funeral service held. A memorial celebrating Marjorie's life will be held at a later time.
