RICHMOND, Utah - Marjorie Oliverson Christensen, 84, passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at her home in Richmond, Utah. Marjorie was grateful to return home where she wanted to be with her cats and her couch. She was born on Oct. 9, 1926, in Franklin, Idaho, to Riley and Marie Mockli Oliverson. She married Lee J. Christensen on Oct. 9, 1943, in the Logan LDS Temple. Marjorie was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings including Primary teacher, Junior Sunday School president, and as a visiting teacher, and ward librarian. She loved reading, flowers, and gardening. She loved pets, especially cats, currently Smokey, Abby, and Izzie. She worked at Marv's Café, and Smithfield Implement Company. She always felt she was blessed with so many wonderful and kind friends who she loved. She is survived by her children Kent R. (Barbara) Christensen, of North Ogden, Utah; Stacy O. Christensen, of Richmond; and Kirt L. Christensen, of Richmond, nine grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lee, a son, Jon Christensen, and a sister, Tonna Corkins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at noon in the Richmond Stake Center, 135 West Main in Richmond with Bishop Jay Baggaley conducting. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the stake center in Richmond, and Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. also at the stake center. Interment will be in the Richmond Cemetery.
