Mark Anthony StephensonPittsville- Pittsville - Mark Anthony Stephenson (74) died on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 at his home. Mark was born on September 25, 1942 in Watertown, N.Y. He attended Clarion Sate College in Oil City, PA. Mark joined the Maryland State Police in 1971. After retirement he coordinated the Worcester County of Investigation. mark then went to the Wicomioc Co. Detention Center to oversee the jails new booking and receiving area. Mark's last project in law enforcement was at the Fruitland Police Department. Mark served as president of commissioners in Pittsville, MD twice. Mark was a member of the Maryland State Alumni, Maryland Troopers Association and the Lower Shore Police Officers Association.Mark is survived by his wife Sharon B. Stephenson for 37 years; his son Mark Anthony Stephenson, Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland; daughters Lori Ann Taylor of Pittsville, MD and Jeanine Carson (Kent) of Canton, GA; a grandson Christopher Moore and his wife Kellie and their three children of Pittsville, Maryland.
