Mark Augustus Senini, 54, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2009 while playing basketball with his son, Alec and daughter, Jennifer. Mark was born on October 19, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, at the home of his grandparents, John and Aloque Senini. Returned to Yuma at the age of 2 weeks and spent his entire life in Yuma. Mark attended Kofa, ASU, and Grossmont College. He began his business career as a field loader of iceberg lettuce at the families ranches in Yuma, California, Colorado, and New Mexico, he moved onto the sales desk in Yuma where the various crops were distributed to the major cities of the U.S. and Canada. His major sports and other business interests were raising Brangus cattle in association with Alex Dees, coaching softball, baseball, and primarily raising his four children for the last eight years after the tragic death of his loving wife Susan. Mark is survived by his children, Katherine, Jennifer, Natalie, and Alex; his parents, Edward and MaryJo Senini; brother, Ed Jr., John, and Robert; sisters, Lori, Beth, and Teresa. Mark was preceded in death by his loving wife, Susan Nee Johnson. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009. Pallbearers will be his three brothers, Ed, John, and Robert, also Dr. Hank Carter, Bart Baker, and Alex Dees.
