Mark Anthony BlairLansingPeacefully went to heaven on Monday, March 27, 2017. Mark was born on December 5, 1949 in Lansing, MI to John and Nina (Sale) Blair. A lifelong resident of Lansing he graduated from Gabriels High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War being discharged as a decorated Corporal and awarded a Purple Heart for his bravery. He presently worked for Peckham after his retirement from Capital Tool and Die. In both careers he leaves behind many appreciated coworkers and friends. He was passionate about hunting, billiards, good spirits, the family cabin in Roscommon, and the Detroit Tigers, Mark always had a strong faith and love for his church, his country, and his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, John Blair Jr., sister, Margaret Mary, and brother-in-law Tom Grost. He is survived by his children; Nadine Hernandez, Teresa (Darren) Ramirez, Eric Blair, and Brian (Jennifer) Blair; 3 grandchildren, Bobbi, Siena, and Liam; sisters, Cora Grost, Carol Anne Blair, Carmen (John) Bradley, special sister-in-law, Madeline Fabiano Blair, best friend, Frank (Sally)Boyer, friend David Dzwigalski and his daughter Krystal, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. David Fons as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel with the Rosary prayed at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Fund or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.
