A Life of Helping Others

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Brunner, who was born on October 13, 1954 and passed away on September 25, 2024 in Amelia, Ohio, United States.

Mark was the beloved son of Charles and Viola Brunner. He was a devoted husband to Cathy Brunner, whom he married in 1999. Mark was a loving father to his five children, Darlene Prall (Chuck), Brandy Marshall (Josh), Chris Brunner, Heather Phillips (Mitch), Amber Stull (Jon) and bonus children Misty Riley (Tim) and Karen Ford. He was also a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren: Kyle, Alex, Bryce, Malakai, Coralie, Grace, Waylon, Connor, Chloe, Breanna, Maison, & Chris. He is also survived by his older brother Charlie Brunner (Linda). Mark was proceeded in death by his brother, Mike. His favorite furchild, Dakota, is already waiting for him.

Mark studied at Glen Este High School and graduated in 1973. He was an EMT at BMOP [Batavia Monroe Ohio Pierce] in the 80s. He then started as a Corrections Officer in Hamilton County. Mark went on to be an Officer for Union Township then Batavia for 20 years.

He later took to the road as a TMC semi-truck driver, enjoying the views from the states. On occasion, he would take the youngest girls over the road with him during the summers. After enjoying several years of adventuring across the US, he switched to Brother's Trucking to be able to spend more time with family. He was a hardworking and dedicated individual who was loved by many.

Mark will be remembered for his kind spirit, sarcasm, attitude, his sense of humor, and his unwavering love for his family. He went out of his way to help those he could.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The cause of death was medical complications.

Mark was a great neighbor and when we needed help he would come over and help us and we are trying to do the same for his family and he was always concerned about my parents and asking about them all the time and his wife Cathy was the same way. Mark is really going to be missed because I wouldn’t get to smell his cigars and he was a very funny man.
