Marla Caillier 1947 2017 On Sunday, May 7th, at 12am, Marla Kathleen Caillier was ushered into heaven after a courageous battle with lung cancer. As a breast cancer survivor for 10 years, Marla drew on her strength and family to support her in her final fight on earth. Surrounded by her loving husband and twin sister, she died peacefully at home. Marla, born on July 6th in Tacoma to Fred and Elma Clark, was a proud graduate of Stadium High's class of 1965. A lifelong resident of Tacoma, Marla worked at Hunt Motett, Seattle Hardware, SeaPac, and Tam Engineering, and retired from Interstate Distributor. In her retirement years she was a devoted volunteer teacher's aide at Harvard Elementary. She enjoyed travelling, jigsaw puzzles, reading, playing games, car rides, and spending time at the ocean. Marla will be remembered as a loving person who saw the best in everyone. Marla is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Tim, her twin sister Shelley Small, and half-brother Don Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Elma, brother Jack Clark, and sister Leanne Ehnat. As a devoted and loving Aunt, she will be deeply missed by her nieces Teri, Cheryl, Katie, Erika, and Debbie, and her nephews Jim, Richard, and Joseph. She leaves a lasting legacy of unconditional love for her extended family and friends. Services will be held at Sumner United Methodist Church on May 21st at 3pm, with a reception to follow; 901 Wood Ave, Sumner, WA 98390.
