Marlene Gregory, 82, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Michael Gregory; her daughter, Sandra Kerrigan (Michael Kerrigan); and by 3 grandchildren: Zachary Gentry, Kaitlyn Kerrigan, and Matthew Kerrigan. She is predeceased by her brother, Jack Satin.
Marlene was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 5, 1935, to Robert and Mary Satin. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1957 with a degree in nursing and worked as a nurse for over 40 years. On June 4, 1966, she married her soulmate, Michael Gregory. In February of 1963, she welcomed her daughter, Sandra, to the world who was the most important part of her life.
Marlene loved to sew, make porcelain dolls, and study Egyptian history in her free time. It was rare you would see her doing something else. She also loved to travel. In the last 20 years, she went to Canada, Egypt, Poland, France, Spain, and Switzerland. Her dream was to take a family trip to Banff, Canada, which was her favorite place in the world.
A funeral service for Marlene is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. Reverend Peter Moore will officiate.
