MARSHA MILLER
PLEASANT PLAINS — Marsha Kay Miller, 52, of Pleasant Plains, died at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center.
Marsha was born on Feb. 4, 1964, in Jerseyville, Illinois, the daughter of Joe and Karen (Schmidt) Ziegler. She married Robert W. Miller on April 12, 1986, in Dawson, Illinois.
Marsha graduated from Jersey Community High School. She attended Illinois State University and graduate school at the University of Illinois, obtaining a master's degree in child psychology. Marsha worked for Jane Addams Elementary School for 14 years as a 2nd and 5th grade teacher. She was a member of West Side Christian Church. She liked to sew, quilt, read, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Marsha was preceded in death by her nephew, Roy Sigrist.
She is survived by her parents, Joe and Karen; mother-in-law, Nancy L. Miller; husband, Robert, of Pleasant Plains; her children, Adam (Nikki) Miller of Palestine, Texas, Taylor (Madison) Miller of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Walker Miller of Pleasant Plains, Illinois, and Helena Miller of Pleasant Plains; grandchildren, Malachi Benjamin Miller and August James Miller; siblings, Tamara (David) Sigrist of Pana, Illinois and Ronald Ziegler of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; eight nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will receive friends 4–7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield.
Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following visitation.
Graveside Ceremony: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov.1, 2016 at Mechanicsburg Cemetery with Rev. Gary Winkleman officiating.
