Marshall "Blaise"Adams Sr.1959-2017Marshall "Blaise" Adams Sr. passed away on March 15, 2017 at his home in Pensacola, FL. Blaise was the beloved husband of Patrice Adams and father of Childers Adams, Libby Adams, and the late Marshall Adams Jr. Blaise was a successful businessman in the Pensacola area where he served as Market President for Centennial Bank. Blaise was active in civic duties as well; serving two terms as Chair of the Downtown Improvement Board, two terms as Chair of Sacred Heart Foundation and two terms as President of Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida. Blaise was a member of the Escambia County Investment Advisory Committee, Finance Committee of the Archdiocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, Pensacola-Escambia Development Commission and the UWF Historic Trust. Blaise also served on the Studer Community Institute Board of Directors. He truly valued the business community and was a driving force in helping small businesses succeed.Blaise was born on July 26, 1959 in Macon, GA to Aurelia Bond Adams and Robert Jackson Adams. He grew up in Macon, GA where he was a graduate of Mt. De Sales Academy. Blaise attended the University of Georgia and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He graduated from Georgia College in 1984 with a bachelors in business management. Upon completion of his degree, Blaise moved to Pensacola to begin his career in the banking industry with Sun Bank. He would go on to hold various roles with AmSouth until starting his own bank, Citizens & Peoples in Pensacola. C&P was later merged with First Gulf Bank who was then acquired by PNC where Blaise served as Leader of the Alabama and Northwest Florida Asset Management Team. Blaise joined Centennial Bank in 2013 where he served as Market President and responsible for the bank's establishment of presence in the Gulf Coast area.Blaise was a tremendous role model to the many lives he touched while here on Earth. Blaise was an avid golfer, playing throughout his lifetime. Above all else, Blaise enjoyed time spent with his family and giving back to the Pensacola community. His charisma will be missed dearly.Blaise is preceded in death by his father, Robert; sister, Marianne Hill; and son Marshall Jr.He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Patrice Scarritt Adams; son, Childers Adams; and daughter, Libby Adams all of Pensacola. Blaise is also survived by his mother, Aurelia Adams; brothers, Bob and Billy Adams; sister, Ellen Chenault; and many extended family members.Memorial Service will be held 10:00am Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Pensacola.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Junior Achievement of Northwest Florida, 6677 N.
