BlickOctober 7, 1945 - September 26, 2013Martha Ann Blick, 67, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on September 26, 2013 in Burrton, Kansas while visiting family. She was born on October 7, 1945 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Robert and Margaret (Thompson) Bruce. She graduated from Saint Teresa High School, Hutchinson, KS. Martha went on to further her education at Newman University in Wichita, KS where she became a Registered Nurse (RN). Martha loved and was devoted to her profession. Martha was a member of the Catholic Church where she dedicated much of her time in service on various boards for youth and adult ministries as well as enjoying her association and service with the Council of Catholic Women. She started and directed a faith base parish nursing ministry. Martha married Conrad Bryant on October 7, 1965 in Hutchinson, Kansas. They were married for 21 years until Conrad's death in May 1987. She married Phillip Blick on January 6, 1990 in Wichita, KS. He survives. Martha moved to Pocatello in 1995. She was employed as a RN with Pocatello Regional Medical Center and later with Portneuf Medical Center prior to her retirement in 2005. She dearly loved her work as a home health nurse. She was an avid gardener and was honored with one of Pocatello's Most Beautiful Yard Awards. She enjoyed camping and home decorating; she especially loved the Christmas season. Her favorite hobby was traveling to see her family and watching her grandchildren participate in numerous activities. Martha will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Martha was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Margaret Bruce, her husband Conrad Bryant, her granddaughter Andrea Perkins, her sisters Rosemary Kenny and Michelle Wolf and her brother James Bruce. Martha is survived by her husband Phil Blick, her brothers Joseph (Julie) Bruce, Jerome (Patty) Bruce and her sisters Margaret Daniel, Rebecca Rich and Christine (Billie) Wolf. Martha is also survived by her children Jane Perkins and her husband John of Fort Morgan, CO, Adam Bryant and his wife Stacey of Colwich, KS and Alan Bryant and his wife Lori of Wellington, CO and stepson David Blick of Wichita, KS. She is survived by her grandchildren, Constance Dolph, Tyler Perkins, Marisa Perkins, Abigail Bryant, Mason Bryant, Alexis Bryant and Austin Bryant. Martha would have had her first great-grandchild AlexAndrea Perkins in December.Martha's family will receive friends at a Catholic Rosary Service with viewing at 7:00 P.M. today, Sunday, Oct. 6th at Holy Spirit Catholic Community, St. Anthony's Chapel, 507 North 7th, Pocatello, ID. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 7th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anthony's Chapel.
