Martha Jean Roberson-Winston was born on April 7, 1956 in Mobile, AL to Leslie and Lucille Rogers.
Martha was baptized at an early age and was a member of Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church. She served on the Usher, Culinary, and Stewardness board, choir member, and Lay Council Member.
She transitioned from her earth life for eternal life on Friday, March 22, 2019 at her home. She was preceeded in death by her mother, the late Lucille Rogers and sister, the late Remona Rogers.
Martha was a woman with a beautiful, sweet spirit. She always had a smile on her face, and never met a stranger. She was a favorite to many of her family and friends. She will be missed.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are her devoted husband of two years, Aundra Winston, Sr., a loving father Leslie Rogers, three children: Cassandra(Oswaldo) Rogers-Wilson of Bayou La Batre, AL, Rannell ( Tracie) Roberson of Houston, TX, and Erica(Corey) Bowden of GrandBay, AL. Nine grandchildrem: Terrell, Porshea, Jada, Bianca, Destiny, Avion, Jaylan, Rannell Jr., and Ryan. Nine great-grandchildren: Jayden, Trashawn, Shaniyah, Kaelynn, Kynsley, Sariyah, Amari, Kamori, and Taniyah. Seven stepchildren: Tia, Cameron, Aundra Jr., Jermaine, Yolanda, Jamaul, and Deandra. Four sisters: Wanda Allen, Dora Rogers, and Zeroline Rogers of Atlanta, Ga., Willie Mae(Raymond) Eager of GrandBay, AL and one brother, Luis Moseley of Grand Bay, Al.
Mother-in-law Katie Winston, one brother-in-law, Lee Artis(Mary)Winston Sr., one God-sister, Phyllis Thompson, Four aunts, Leanna Hunt, Diane Allen of Grand Bay, AL, Mattie Lee Allen of Atlanta, Ga., and Sarah Allen of Detroit, MI. A devoted friend of many years, Fred McArthur. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special furry friend, Sasha.
