Legner, MarthaMartha F. Legner (Majkrzak) was born on Nov. 17, 1929 to Hattie (Gromala) and Albert Majkrzak in Fancher, Wisconsin. She grew up in the Ashley, WI area and attended Ryan School. Upon graduation she worked as a home health care worker and waitress/cashier at Hannon Pharmacy in Stevens Point, WI. She met her future husband Vladislov "Jim" Legner at an Ashley Ballroom Dance. They were married Oct 9, 1948 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Knowlton and shared 68 years of marriage together. Martha was a homemaker who enjoyed doing cross-stitch, crocheting, crafts and taking care of her home and family. Martha was a giving person and a gracious host, as visitors never left without eating. She always had a smile on her face and always had something nice to say to you. She was a long time member of St. Therese Parish in Rothschild. Martha raised three children, Darlene (John) Schulta, Boulder Junction, WI, James (Susan) Legner, Rib Mountain, WI and Marlene (Mike) Seeley, Ringle, WI. She is survived by her husband and has one remaining brother, Edwin (Mary) Majkrzak of Kiel, WI and one sister-in-law, Therese Legner of Mosinee, WI. She has five grandchildren; Tim Seeley, Steve (Jennie) Seeley of Chicago, Brad (Caitlin) Seeley, Weston, Kate Legner, Anchorage, AK and Mara Legner, Pasadena, CA, two great grandchildren Anorah and Owen Seeley of Weston. She was preceded in death by her parents Hattie and Albert Majkrzak of Chicago, IL, three sisters; Albie Dombrowski, Chicago, IL, Bernice Kudla, Mosinee, WI and Jean Janz, Stevens Point, and four brothers Leo Majkzak, Kiel, WI, Albert Majkrzak, FL, Stanley Majkrzak and Edward Majkrzak, Chicago, IL. Her family wishes to thank all those who cared for Martha through her long illness's these past years. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild with visitation at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Father Louis Britto will be officiating.
