FREMONT — Martha "Hope" Raycraft, age 35, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana, with her family by her side after a long battle with Cystic Fibrosis. She was born on July 14, 1981, in Angola, Indiana, the daughter of Nadean Jackson and George Frank Smith. Hope attended Fremont schools, and she enjoyed collecting butterflies, and loved cats. She actively supported the fight to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. Survivors include her daughter, Courtney Snyder of Fremont, Indiana; her mother, Nadean Jackson of Fremont, Indiana; her father, George Smith of Coldwater, Michigan; a sister, Danielle Bonse of Fremont, Indiana; two brothers, Matthew (Tanya) Pelletier of Fremont, Indiana, and Tony (Nicole) Raycraft of Syracuse, Indiana; and grandmothers, Betty Volkenand of Fremont, Indiana, and Jackie Smith of Coldwater, Michigan. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Kenny Smith, and William and Martha Jackson. In her memory a private family celebration of life will be held at a later time at her mother's home.
