Marvel Louise EagleFebruary 21, 1946 - December 6, 2013Marvel L. Eagle of Fort Hall passed away Friday December 6, 2013 after a long battle with cancer at home surrounded by her family. Marvel was born on February 21, 1946 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Robert Moore and Edna DeRoin Moore. She spent her childhood in Oklahoma graduated from Red Rock High School. Following graduation she continued her education at Haskell Institute. Work and further education took her to Chicago. While in Chicago she met Theodore A. George. They were later married and together they had three children. Later in life she married Levester L. Eagle and together they had one son. Marvel enjoyed her career as a teacher and education coordinator until her retirement. She loved children and helping them in any way she could. She was a faithful member of the Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her many family and friends. Marvel is preceded in death by her Grandparents, James and Lina Kihega DeRoin, of Oklahoma and Frank and Mary Dailey Moore, of Oklahoma, her parents Robert and Edna DeRoin Moore, Oklahoma, husband, Theodore A. George, and a son, Theodore H. George. She is survived by her husband, Levester Eagle, of Fort Hall, daughters: Kimberly Ann Youngblood, of Okeechobee, Florida, and Tara Dawn George, of Fort Hall, son, James J. Eagle, of Fort Hall, brothers: Robert E. Moore, James Moore, Alvin Moore, Bradley Moore, and Cecil DeRoin, all of Oklahoma, sisters: Julia Tah, Oresa Shotton, and Colleen Chouteau, all of Oklahoma.The family will meet with friends on Tuesday morning December 10, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Baptist Church on Riverton Road. Following the family gathering Marvel will be brought to the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Ave, for a prayer service that night from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Following the prayer service Marvel will be taken out to the the Baptist Church where a sunrise service will take place at 7 a.m. the following morning, Wednesday December 11. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gibson Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at: [email protected].
