Marvin “Whitey” Ray Bostian, 81, of Concord, passed away Nov. 18, 2016, at First Assembly Living Center. He was born on Aug. 3, 1935 to the late William Marvin Monroe Bostian and Sadie Pearlene Overcash Bostian. Marvin worked at Cannon Mills for over twenty years. He loved his family and enjoyed being a jokester and making others laugh, going fishing, and playing horseshoes. He was preceded in death by son, Marvin Bostian; daughters, Rose Mary Faggart and Pam Pethal; sisters, Frances Starnes and Phyllis Shoe; and brothers, Calvin, Howard, and Council Bostian. Left to cherish his memories are son, Timothy Bostian; daughters, Dolores “Sissy” Lemmond and Karen Trift; brother, Robert Bostian; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Arrangements: Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21, in Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., prior to the service.
