Rest in Peace

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Fowler, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and respected member of the Chantilly, Virginia community. Mary was born on February 7, 1935, to her loving parents, Martin Maxwell and Brittany Christen. She peacefully departed this world on October 1, 2023.

Mary was a woman of great strength and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering generosity were the defining traits that endeared her to everyone she met.

As a young woman, Mary found her soulmate in Dennis Fowler, and they shared a beautiful journey together for over six decades. Their love was a beacon of light that brought joy and happiness into their lives. Mary and Dennis were blessed with two wonderful children, Thomas Fowler and Audrey Morris. Thomas, accompanied by his loving wife Elizabeth Rose, and Audrey, alongside her devoted spouse Lucas, were sources of immense pride and joy for Mary. She treasured the moments spent with her children and the love that she shared with them was immeasurable.

Mary was an accomplished pharmacist, dedicating her life to helping others. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and genuine care for her patients were the hallmarks of her successful career. Her colleagues admired her professionalism and admired the way she went above and beyond to ensure the well-being of those under her care. Mary's passion for her work was evident in every prescription she filled, making a positive impact on the lives of countless individuals in the Chantilly community.

Tragically, Mary's life was cut short by the relentless battle against lung cancer. Despite the difficulties she faced, she remained resilient and fought with tremendous courage until the very end. Mary's unwavering spirit was a testament to her strong character, and her bravery continues to inspire all who knew her.

While Mary's departure marks a great loss, her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Thomas and Audrey, their spouses Elizabeth and Lucas, and her five cherished grandchildren. Each one will carry Mary's love, strength, and kindness with them, as they navigate the journey of life.

Preston and Sons Funeral Home of Manassas is serving the family. Funeral Director Tonya Sanderson is handling the arrangements with love and sympathy.

In this time of sorrow, let us celebrate the life Mary Fowler lived rather than grieving for the moments we will not share. She was a cherished wife, a devoted mother, an adored grandmother, and a passionate pharmacist. Her impact on the world around her will never be forgotten, and her spirit will continue to guide us all. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
