Mary A. Reed, 75Muncie - Mary A. Reed, 75, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on February 22, 1942, in Muncie, the daughter of Bessie (Brandenburg) Boguski.Mary had married the love of her life James (Jim) E. Reed on June 14, 1958 in Muncie and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2001.  Mrs. Reed had worked as a production worker for Veil Foods for approximately five years retiring in 1989. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed doing adult coloring books, word search puzzles, working in her flower beds but, mostly, spending time with her family and her pet Yorkie, Bella, who were very precious to her.She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ann Neff (husband, Alan), Yorktown; two sons, Ricky Lee Reed and Ronald Joe Reed (girlfriend, Lucinda Stipp), both of Muncie; two grandchildren, Samantha Taylor (husband, Andy) and Jeff Neff (fiancé, Abbey Brock), both of Muncie; two great-grandchildren, Alexis Taylor and Brady Kerrigan; her beloved dog, Bella and treasured friends, Susie Day, Sandra Gill, Mid- Neff, Linda Rigel, Leonard and Sue Brown, Steve and Barb Cannaday, all of Muncie and Boone and Mary Lou Fish, Lynn.Besides her husband of forty-three years, James "Jim" Reed, she is preceded in death by her mother, Bessie (Boguski) Hale and step father, Delbert Ora Hale.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at the Parson Mortuary with James P. Day officiating.  Burial will follow at the Tomlinson Cemetery.Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Monday, July 31, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, August 1, 1017, from 12:00 p.m. until service time.Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Services of East Central Indiana, Inc.
