Droppelman, Mary Agnes,age 95, of St. Matthews and Louisville passed away peacefully on Sunday November 6, 2016.Mary was born on May 25, 1921 in St. Matthews, a daughter of Fred J. Lichtefeld and Josephine Tuchscherer Lichtefeld. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1939.Mary was a former member of Holy Trinity and St. Boniface Catholic Churches. She was also a former member of the Louisville Boat Club and the Richmond Boat Club.Mary's passion was her family. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband L. G. " Pete" Droppelman (deceased 1993); a loving mother to her sons, Peter L. Droppelman and Patrick H. Droppelman (Marnie) and daughters, Sue R. Peege, Sally Radecki (Roger), and Sandy Hamel (Larry); and a loving sister to Joanne Gibson. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Mary, affectionately known as "Nan", always thought of the other person first. She was kind, considerate, unselfish, caring and loving.Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 2119 Payne Street, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane.In lieu of flowers, it was Mary's request that contributions be made to Mass of the Air.
