Obituary – Mary Ann Colantonio
October 27, 1940 to August 12, 2023
Mary Ann (Godlewski) Colantonio, 82, of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday,
August 12, 2023 after battling health issues for the past several months.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 27, 1940, and was the daughter of the late
Benjamin and Valeria Godlewski.
She was the beloved wife of Anthony Colantonio, Jr. They were blessed with 64 years of
marriage.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Colantonio, Jr. of Blue Bell, PA, her son Anthony
(Linda) Colantonio of Plymouth Meeting, PA, her daughter Marianne (Ron) Flax of Owings Mills,
MD, and her daughter Lisa (Drew) Taddei of Collegeville, PA. She is also survived by her
grandchildren Tony (Jill) Colantonio, Lauren (Ryan) Smith, Michael (Erica) Colantonio, Ryan
Taddei, Nicholas Taddei, Jordan Flax and Ali Flax, and her great-grandchildren Mikayla
Colantonio, Dylan Smith, Grady Smith, Grayson Colantonio, Annie Smith, and Hayden
Colantonio. In addition to this, she is also survived by her sister Helen Begola and brother Edward Godlewski.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Rzepnicki and Fran Currie.
Mary Ann loved her time with her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed by them.
Everybody that knew her will always remember her for her beauty both inside and out, and will
never forget her smile. She loved to socialize and was always the life of the party. She also very
much enjoyed entertaining, especially for the holidays, which were her favorite time of the
year. She loved to travel, especially to beach destinations. But her favorite beach was always
Stone Harbor, NJ where she had a summer home that she loved for about 30 years. In addition
to that she enjoyed golfing, shopping and gardening, along with cooking and decorating, just a
few of the things that she was particularly good at doing. She might be gone, but will never be
forgotten.
She also had a successful career selling real estate which she enjoyed until her retirement.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at
Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA. Her Funeral Mass will
follow at the church at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at George Washington Memorial
Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA.
